Keelback class

Cargo transport and mineral acquisition are oft-underappriciated but integral parts of any Commander's operation, and DSE operates a small mining subsidiary built around the dependable frame of Lakon Spaceways' Keelback combat transport. Capable of extended mining and transport duty but also fully able to defend itself, this ship enables us to procure and deliver whatever rare minerals or artefacts our clients require.

Obtained purely for access to the ship-launched fighters that had just been made available on the open market by the Pilot's Federation. It was used to get an F63 Condor fighter into a Resource Extraction site, after which it just sat there while I flew the fighter and collected bounties. Once the more effective Krait Mk II was obtained and immediately became my main fighter-carrier, the Keelback was renovated for more traditional mining duty.
