DSE-02 YUKINATOR

Viper Mark IV class

DSE maintains several light fighters in its various security pursuits on our clients' behalf, including the Viper Mk IV. A hardened version of its Mark III predicessor, this ship is a mainstay of any mission that involves combat and requires exceptional staying power. DSE has operated a Viper Mk IV almost since its inception, flying every role from bounty hunting to even flying important passengers in the height of safety and security.

The original Yukinator was the ship I basically learned the game in, finally sussing how to run missions and hunt Extraction Sites, and even doing passenger missions to earn up enough to move to a Vulture. It was at that time, though, that I finally cottoned to the fact that the Mark IV is really just a heavier, slower, clumsier version of the Mark III, and I'd eventually trade in the Yukinator for a "limited edition" Viper Mark III Yukinator.

...Annnnnnnnnnd then I'd buy it right back because it's a pretty cool ship and I couldn't bear to not have it in my fleet. It's heavier and slower, but also tougher and stronger. I can last twice as long bounty hunting in an Extraction Zone with this ship than with its Mark III sibling.
